This policy explains what information Wikain collects when you use our website and videos, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Wikain is run by [BUSINESS NAME], based in the Philippines.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored securely by our membership provider; we never see them.
• Membership details: which plan you are on (Free or Premium), whether you pay monthly or yearly, and a subscription reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
• Learning activity: how many minutes of video you watch, your daily listening goal and your streak, so we can show your progress.
• Messages you send us: your name, email and message when you use the support form or contact us about an organization plan.
• Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (country or city) and how you found us, collected through analytics cookies if you allow them.

How we use it

• To create and run your account and give you access to the videos on your plan.
• To process subscriptions, cancellations and refunds.
• To show your listening time, level and goals.
• To answer your questions and send important account emails (for example, password resets or changes to these terms).
• To understand how people use Wikain so we can improve the site and the videos.
• To prevent fraud and keep the service secure.

Services that help us run Wikain

We use a small number of trusted providers. They only use your information to provide their service to us.

• Webflow hosts the website and receives support-form messages.
• Memberstack manages accounts, logins and your saved progress.
• [PAYMENT PROVIDER] processes Premium payments. [PAYMENT PROVIDER]'s own privacy policy applies to the payment details you give them.
• Make keeps your membership in sync with your subscription (for example, ending Premium when a subscription is cancelled).

Some of these providers store data outside the Philippines, including in the United States and the European Union. We only work with providers that protect your information to a standard we would expect for ourselves.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you logged in. With your permission, we also use analytics cookies from Google Analytics to measure visits. You can change your cookie choices at any time, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop you from logging in.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting reasons (for example, payment records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and, for people in the EU or UK, the GDPR, you can ask us to:

• Delete your account and information.
• Give you a copy of your information.
• Stop using your information for analytics or marketing.

To make a request, email support@wikain.com from the address linked to your account. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the National Privacy Commission in the Philippines.

Children

Wikain is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, please use Wikain with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS) and reputable providers to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email before the changes take effect.
